Colorado Trail Challenge

10/4/20:

I finally remembered to check my weight today and weighed in around 142.5 lbs. Again, if that were muscle, I would feel great. But, I know that right now it isn’t. Weight isn’t a good indicator for how I feel about my body, it tends to be more of a sense my fitness and when things stop feeling as tight as they once did.

I scrapped running today to give my knees and shins a proper break, so my Mom and I set off to explore some local trails. We didn’t set a mileage goal, preferring to just wander the trails and see where they’d take us. It was awesome, the weather was perfect, and we ended up walking a total of 4.5 miles!

We got to walk along the river and ended up having some pretty sweet views.

When I got home, I biked 5.7 miles at home to make up for my miles yesterday, and to finish the ones I had left for today. I’m definitely more excited to run my miles because it feels like I’m actually doing something. A stationary bike is as hard as you make it, but the views are way less exciting.
